Paleo Seafood Recipes

Last week I downloaded a set of paleo diet recipe cookbooks, and as soon as I transferred the files to my tablet, I went straight to the seafood chapter! I really enjoy eating fish, shrimp, mussels, and clams, but I’m always short of ideas on how to cook them the paleo way.

Well, thanks to those books, I can now cook up a good assortment of paleo seafood recipes. If you’re also short of ideas, don’t worry. Here are two recipes for you to try out. One is a hassle-free paleo baked white fish dish, the other a notably flavorful paleo BBQ shrimp.

A paleo diet cooking competition was recently held in Virginia and the event was a huge success. 12 contestants from the local area participated in the “cooking battle”, and a former accountant Eric Philips, emerged victorious thanks to his highly tantalizing creation called the paleo baked white fish with spicy salsa.

Mr. Philips told us that it took him a week to perfect the recipe which he learned from his wife, Mrs. Joanna Philips. He also said that his wife is extremely proficient in creating a large array of mouthwatering paleo seafood recipes. Unfortunately his wife couldn’t make it to the event due to work commitment.

After the prize giving ceremony, event participants were treated to a variety of healthy and great tasting Paleolithic diet meals including coconut poached chicken, bacon & marinara meatloaf, turkey bacon & egg muffins, paleo bbq shrimp, tuna vegetable salad, coconut creamed leeks, and paleo style classic egg salad.

We were also served a handful of paleo diet desserts such as coconut fruit bowl, carrot & orange cake, and coconut vanilla ice cream. After dining on these scrumptious meals, the organizer held a lucky draw for the non-contestants and the winner gets to take home a hardcover book featuring hundreds of paleo seafood recipes. The winner of the lucky draw was a Ms. Kathy Morrison who is a homemaker and an avid paleo diet follower for the last 5 years.

As for Mr. Philips, the winner of the cooking battle competition, he was awarded a set of prizes consisting of premium quality pots & pans, a Toshiba microwave oven, a portable grill, plus a trophy, along with a certificate of participation. The prizes are awesome and I only wish I had sign up for the competition. I wanted to actually, but I was swamped with work the last few weeks, thus I didn’t have the time for it.

Perhaps I would try my luck next year. I know quite a number of sumptuous paleo seafood recipes, and if I enter the cooking competition next year, I believe I stand a good chance of winning it. Wish me luck guys. In the meantime, I’ll just keep on whipping up as many delicious paleo diet meals as possible in my newly renovated kitchen.
